Reverend Michael Mehelal &
First Lady Dionne Mehelal

Rev. Michael Mehelal is a vibrant and visionary leader, deeply passionate about serving his community. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour at the young age of 12 at Ste. Madeleine Open Bible Church, where he now serves as the Senior Pastor since 2012, alongside his beloved wife of 28 years, Dionne Mehelal.

Rev. Michael is a highly-requested speaker, and welcomes engagements for services, conferences, and personal events such as thanksgivings, weddings, and more!

More About Rev. Michael

A faithful servant since his conversion at 12 years of age, Rev. Michael has a rich history in ministry. He served as Youth Pastor at the Bonne Aventure Open Bible Church for five years, and later as Interim Pastor at the Cushe Open Bible Church. He also served as the Open Bible Region 2 Youth Coordinator, prior to assuming his current portfolio as Senior Pastor at the Ste. Madeleine Open Bible Church. His leadership extends beyond the local church as he currently serves as the Region 2 – District B Superintendent.

Rev. Michael is also a former lecturer at the Open Bible Institute of Theology (OBIT), where he graduated with the prestigious OBIT President’s Award. His commitment to excellence in ministry and education has influenced many. Under his leadership, SMOBC supports the Ste. Madeleine Government Primary School and the Ste. Madeleine Secondary School through teaching Religious Instruction classes, as well as hosting annual treats and hamper distributions.

In addition to his pastoral duties, Rev. Michael is a Health and Safety Environment Practitioner employed at Caribbean Airlines Ltd.
